Get Ready for the Ski Season Snow has hit the mountaintops; time to dust off the skis!
Junior Nordics registration opens September 15th. This program is being planned to be held as it has in the past with an extra emphasis on health and safety during the pandemic.
This year's sessions include:
- Monday & Wednesday - 1:00-2:00 PM
- Monday & Wednesday - 5:30-6:30 PM
- Tuesday & Thursday - 5:30-6:30 PM
Each of these sessions needs individuals who are willing to dedicate just a few hours a week to a group of kids who want to learn to ski better! No coaching experience necessary. This is a good opportunity for high school and college-aged skiers to mentor younger kids as well. If you are interested in coaching any of these sessions, please contact allison.fry@matsuski.org. |
| | | | Annual Fall Meeting Come ring in the new ski season with fellow skiers in the community at our Annual Fall Meeting Saturday, October 17th at 6:00 PM at the GPRA parking lot and stadium.
In order to maintain social distancing, this is scheduled to be an outdoor event. A live band will play, and food will be available for purchase.
Five seats are available for election on the Mat-Su Ski Club Board of Directors. Come vote for the upcoming board term! If you want to help the club succeed, and have the time to serve on the board, contact admin@matsuski.org to put yourself forward. |
| | Call for Volunteers Volunteers are needed September 25th at 10:00 AM to help set up the trails at Independence Mine area. This job will take a minimum of 4 volunteers and will take about 6 hours to complete. If you are available to help, please contact Ed Strabel at 907-354-7524 (calls only) or at edstrabelak@gmail.com.
